Good. Fantastic. Gone will be the days of buying the same game multiple different times, because you wanted to play across multiple ecosystems (Mortal Kombat 11 & Tekken 7). Or, because the first time you bought the game on PS3, 12 years ago, it didn't have any extra modes, and you have to buy the game again on PC to get access to the complete version (Pixel Junk Monsters & Eufloria)

Today, I own every playstation, but I have to say, I'm not interested in buying a PS5. My PC could already run whatever game the PC will eventually get anyway. When you see new graphics cards come out every year, and you realize your 1080ti is 3 years old, why look forward to a new console when you can just get a new graphics card next year, and get even more performance out of it?

I already have a 3900x, upgraded from an 1800x just last year. I have no intention of getting a new card this year because i've been content with my 1080ti. But what's coming next year?

I'm even ok with the costs because im not paying 60 dollars for all my games... Usually between 40-50 dollars IF I get them pre-ordered. No PS+ subscription. And it's going into a computer. Which on it's own does more than a console can. It's a computer. You're not mining bitcoin (well no one is these days) on consoles. You're not doing your taxes, paying bills, or video editing (to an acceptable level), ETC on a console. Just the savings in games makes up for the price difference, but then you're getting so much more than a gaming machine.

Recently, with these threads popping up, I've been asking myself... WHY would I want a PS5?... Literally the only reason is to say, "I have all the playstation consoles."
