I want to elaborate that I don't think any of these companies are failing... I just wanted to post what they need to do to improve their current standings.

Sony:

1. Do another handheld as a companion device to the PS5. Make it fully backwards compatible with PS1/PS2 Classics, PSP, PSminis, and PSV games. Improved Remote Play with an optional 4G model for Remote Play in the go.

2. Release a set top box series. "PlayStation Sticks" and "PlayStation Boxes" should be fully compatible with major video streaming services (specifically PlayStation Vue). These devices should also be capable of playing at least PS1 Classics titles.

3. Ensure the PS5 is fully backwards compatible. I don't care if it takes an external box that must be purchased separately to play PS3 games- make it happen.

4. Maintain the stream of high quality first party titles. Don't let off the gas.

5. Knock it off with the silly censorship and just include better parental controls.

6. Get that fucking PSnow streaming shit outta here.

Microsoft:

1. Either get exclusives again and stop releasing your games on competing platforms, or go third party and stop wasting time with hardware. I get that you're trying to appease PC gamers, but they're still not gonna use the Windows Store.

2. Regardless of if you start keeping exclusives on Xbox or go third party, you need to start properly utilizing your IPs. Get Rare working on something, reopen some of your good studios that you closed, and tell 343 to take a hike so you can get a competent crew on Halo.

3. Expect to be third place in every generation and gauge your expectations appropriately. Third place is still a profitable position to be in.

4. Get that fucking Games on Demand shit outta here.

Nintendo:

1. Release a "streaming dock" capable of streaming games played to services like Twitch. Be sure to price it competitively against Elgato.

2. Piggybacking off of the first thing, lower the price of the standard dock. The standard dock should only be $50, and the streaming dock should only be $100.

3. Release a Joycown-less, Dockless Switch for $200. Ship it with a basic junk controller. Some people just need to replace the actual system and don't need an entire set of extra peripherals, or even just want a basic entry level into the platform.

All Hardware Manufacturers:

1. Get together and ensure all games are cross play together and with PC. Sony is currently in the spotlight for this, but I'm not so gullible that I'll believe Microsoft proposing a requirement of Xbox Live in some titles isn't part of that problem. This will have to be a three-way thing where everyone plays ball, not where one company bows to another.

2. Do not allow loot boxes that are pay-to-win. If the item you're purchasing will give you an in-game advantage but is also random chance and could be garbage, then it shouldn't be on a home console.

Capcom:

1. Get to work on Monster Hunter World 2, and have massive DLCs ready to start churning out every six months (in addition to teams that add new free content on a monthly basis). Should include at least one monster from all skeletons to set the groundwork for updates. This would include Amphibians (ex.Zamtrios), crustaceans (ex.Ceanataur), leviathans (ex.Lagiacruz), pelagus/apes (ex.Rahjang), insectoids (ex.Scylla), and bears (ex.Arzuros). Swimming should be a thing again but should be made 100% optional (such as options to easily drag monsters out of the water, or not making any water missions necessary to complete.) MHW2 should be a PS5/XBScarlet title. Simultaneous PC release is preferred, but refrain from releasing a broken product.

2. Release more Monster Hunter Stories titles. Stories could serve to expand Monster Hunter lore, as well as hook a different audience with the Pokemon-like gameplay.

3. "Monster Hunter Legacy" for Switch. Classic Monster Hunter gameplay, but with new World monsters added to the mix.

4. Finish remaking classic RE's by remaking RE3.

5. Release new entries in the Mega Man X and Mega Man Legends series. Mega Man Legends would specifically see much more popularity in this age of high-quality third person adventure games.

6. Develop Street Fighter 6 for Switch and port up from there- no one should be left out of SF like SFV did to Nintendo and Xbox.

Square Enix:

1. Stop announcing your games so early.

2. Fix your management. Games shouldn't take 7 years to develop.

3. Elaborate that "episodic" isn't the right word to describe three 30+ hour games.

4. Begin Remastering Final Fantasy titles in the same way you're remastering FFVIII. Start with FFVI and work back from there. Titles like FFVII and FFIX that already have high resolution re-releases should simply receive updates to toggle between models, and every title released should retain the option to flip between OG and refresh. All titles should be made available on PS4, Switch, XB1, and PC.

5. Remaster FFXI for PS4/Switch/XB1. People still play this game, and you should let them know they aren't forgotten.

6. Remaster the FFXIII trilogy for PS4/Switch/XB1. They might not be the best FF titles, but they have a dedicated following.

7. Release FFXIV on XB1 and ensure it is cross play.

8. When 4-7 are done, PS4/Switch/XB1/PC should have access to FF1-FF13. PS4/XB1/PC should additionally have FF14 and FF15.

9. Release Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5+2.8 HD ReMix for PS4/Switch/XB1/PC.

10. Release Kingdom Hearts 3 on PC.

11. Develop a demastered KH3 using the KH2 graphical engine so that the Switch can handle it. This demastered version should be released on Switch as the full game, as well as a free add-on for the PS4/XB1/PC versions.

12. When 9, 10, & 11 are done, PS4/Switch/XB1/PC should have access to all major Kingdom Hearts titles.
