With Xcloud, Stadia and PS Now he wouldn't have to decide which games get installed on the limited HDD and he wouldn't have to go through install and update processes. The Stream would start an already updated version of the game instantly.

Right. I think this is a great example of why these services likely *will* take off in the next decade.  It's just so much more convenient.
