Anything less than that and you will basically be playing at a lowerrez or lower fps.

The vast majority does not care about 4K or 60fps. Heck, I do care, and most of the content on my 65" HDR tv is SD content. 720p30 is plenty for mobile gaming. Cheaper to render as well. Most people are happy with spotify etc for music, netflix for movies and tv, smartphone or switch for gaming. Convenience > quality.
