One big problem with PC gaming though is that a lot of games ported to it don't run very well and sometimes the solutions needed to get them to run aren't worth it or can screw up things on your PC. Mods are great but can also have the same double-edge sword issues. I think updates from Microsoft may have "readjusted" some settings I made in the past too for mods to run.

The thing about consoles is that they're uniform and much easier to troubleshoot with known issues. There's just a sense of no fuss and plug and play with peace of mind you can't always get on PC. Also the ease of access to the internet on PC compared to consoles is a huge distraction and many times will win over wanting to play games on PC, so you forget why you wanted to sit down and enjoy a game in the first place.
