No doubt, but Bioware as a studio will always be held to the immense standard of their past hits. For me, they were a part of the golden age of PC gaming in the 90's. I was especially disappointed by Mass Effect 2, when it became apparent that they were taking a turn towards more shallow core gameplay and action before depth and roleplay, for me that was the turning point where I started seeing a worrying tendency to follow trends and standards rather than set them. And it was evident that this turn became much more sharp under the rule of EA.
