This is why I have a policy of never buying a game until I know I am going to play it right away... Usually, I give myself some wiggle room to try and catch a deal. Unless they're Nintendo first party games, the price tends to drop between release and the time I purchase. The last game I bought brand new was Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The last Steam game I bought brand new may have been about 2012.
