This actually reminds me of a Republican Young twitter account which asked followers what gun Jesus would like the most if he was still alive. Like, for real, they weren't joking.

Yes, the same Jesus who placed the government as the seat of the Church and enacted laws to do the duty of the Church. Hmm, I must have missed that chapter.

But seriously, how people use Jesus to justify one group as "the actual moral people" rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah indeed its so twisted and adds even more believe into the current trend that people behave themselves like a certain view on politics is a religion.
