No it should not continue. Kavanaugh proved he is a vengeful, partisan hack with his responses yesterday. He blamed democrats and the left for conspiring against him. He will be a judge for all Americans but he showed his animus to half the country. He only did this because he knows he only needs 51 votes rather than 60. The lower threshold means he only has to appeal to the conservative base. Trump should pick another conservative judge.

The only animus he showed was towards the Dems on the committee and in the Senate who have absolutely conspired against him. Called him evil. Said he will lead to millions of deaths. Said they will do ANYTHING to stop him, which is what they are doing now with this pathetic last ditch effort based on the testimony of one woman, even though all the people she claimed were there said it never happened. They painted a target on him with their hyperbolic rhetoric and let loose their puppets to attack him.

I don't think someone of Kav stature at this point could ever seriously be expected to hear and fairly rule on women rights in the future. His nomination has been a sham and he is in no way fit for the supreme court. Ms. Ford has been put through hell due to this asshole and provided plenty of evidence during her testimony that this is not something that came up all of sudden during the process. People expecting here to recount every detail of an event that happen 30 years ago are just looking for reason to discredit her. Kav refusal to cooperate with a FBI investigation and his hostility toward democrats brings no favors from me towards him. I mean the dude even said Clinton is the reason he is being blamed, we don't need this partisan nutjob on the supreme court. Plus he still has 2 accusers that republicans are trying to silence. The vote should be delayed and overall a new nominee should be chosen.

What evidence are you even talking about? She provided nothing but a story with nothing to back it up. And recount every detail? How about one single detail that she hasn't altered. She can't remember exactly for sure where it happened. Around what time. How many were there, even though she says it was a very small gathering. How she got to and from the party, probably one of the easiest questions to answer. Where people were when the assault happened, she keeps moving them around with each telling. The people she says were there, now, completely refuted her tale, including her best friend. Sorry, but if she was truly traumatized like she said, some of those details would be ingrained in her head.

Then you get to the stuff after the supposed party happened and it's even fishier. Met the guy she originally said was a bystander, which she changed in the testimony, at a store he worked at and decided to say hi. First, if he really was a bystander to your rape, I doubt you would be a okay with him. And two, she can't even remember about what time/year that was. Oh, but if we provide her with a record of his employment she could pick out the day. Yea, I'm sure she could, as could anyone claiming they saw him. And she supposedly told her therapist about what happened twice, but never said who it was. Oh, and apparently her therapist is a moron because she copied the facts down wrong. Or at least that's what Ford claims when the details of both retellings contradicted each other.

The fact is Ford is a big leftie who is either making the whole thing up, or actually did have something happen in her past, but is changing the "facts" around to make it more plausible for it to have been Kavanaugh that did it. And the complete hypocrisy of the left is sickening. They destroyed Clinton's accusers, who each had more believable stories. Corey Booker has the gall to chastise Kavanaugh, when he wrote in one of his books about groping women without their consent. Using his standards, he should step down and also terminate his run for President in 2020. And Keith Ellison was able to become 2nd in command of the DNC, even though just two or three years ago his ex claims he assaulted her. And she actually has medical reports where she names him. They remained silent on that until just a couple days ago. Where's the "believe all women" there? Oh, it only pertains to when it's an accusation thrown at a Rep. Got it.

As for the whole FBI investigation, he repeatedly said that he would support whatever the committee suggested happen. And hey, that's what is going to happen, and he has already said he will fully cooperate. The ridiculous attempts at "gotcha" just because he didn't obey the Dems that ordered him to request one then and there is just that, ridiculous. They don't give a shit about that woman. This is just to delay the whole process. If they actually cared, they would have brought it to the committee's attention as soon as they got it, where an investigation would have taken place. Not have her lawyer up and save it for a hail Mary at the last second. And they definitely wouldn't have leaked it to the press, stealing away Ford's anonymity, which is what she wanted to keep.

And Reps aren't silencing anyone.  They are the ones that allowed Ford to be heard in the first place.  And it would have happened even sooner, and privately like Ford wanted, if the Dems didn't play politics and keep it in their back pocket.  Those other two women were absolutely not credible.  Even the NY Times, which is not a Conservative paper by any stretch, refused to report their stories because they couldn't find any evidence or witnesses to back their stories up.

She can't remember anything, holes all over her story, people she named in her statements, all denied her story, etc. Kav passed 6 background checks by the FBI already. This is a political hit,no question about that.  So gotta disagree all the way with your assessment

I listed to the whole thing. Any time a senator tried to question Kav about anything he deflected and refused to answer. He gave 2 or 3 words answer to republicans and then any chance he got to talk during the democrats changed the subject and tried to take there whole time. He left more unanswered questions than her.

OK. I think it's time to put the partisan politics aside. Both sides lobbed softballs at their guy. Hell, the Dems talked as if this was already decided in a court of law. Talking about how brave she was to confront her attacker, and what a piece of shit Kavanaugh was.

And we must have not watched the same hearing. The only thing she was 100% sure of was that it was Kavanaugh that did it. Every single other detail she was unsure about. Even on simple things that should be easy to remember if she was that traumatized. She's been changing her story, too.

Kavanaugh, on the other hand, answered every question. Even the dumb ones that were asked. Sometimes going into more detail than he needed to. The only time his answer may not have been clear is when he was interrupted by Dems, because either they didn't like his answer, or he was trying to give context and they wanted a "gotcha" yes or no.
