The idea that MS is the big winner in digital distribution isn't really a big deal. Sony can do the same if it needs to and its got the rights to its own movies to just make available for download....
This whole idea that they want both formats to lose is a bit too much 'conspiracy theory' for me when they released a 360 specific HD DVD player and tried to support the format.
