Daewon Media, a domestic distributor of Nintendo Switch consoles in Korea, said that 110,000 units were sold in December. In addition to this, the sales of Nintendo's pop-up store and specialty retail stores totaled 710 million won. It has been a remarkable achievement in the domestic market, as opposed to the release of the console 9 months later in Korea than overseas, along with the lack of localization for certain games and other negative factors.
EDIT: Hey guys, I was slightly vague with this thread post, so let me clear some things up.
- The Switch launched in South Korea on December 1st. So it wasn't released in North Korea (yet?) These figures are just for South Korea.
- Yes, these are very good sales figures for the Switch. I don't know how 110k stacks up against other Nintendo console launches in South Korea, but the 55k in 3 days figure given a while back has indeed been a record for Nintendo for South Korea.
