I think it bothered me at first when I first started seeing this stuff as JRPGs made their way to the UK in the late 90s and early 2000s but I'm just used to it by now, just like the same old humour and other cliches that come with these anime rpgs.

Now I'm just like,"Oh look, the barely clothed 12 year old is being hit on by the 35 year old womanizing alcoholic while the 23 year old woman worries that her cooking is f#cking terrible and she's way past her prime and this is just 85 seconds after the 16 year old protagonist has either just realised he has to finish the job his dad couldn't do properly or he just discovered that he's going to have to kill his father (biological or otherwise), oh Japan you!"

That being said, I would probably prefer it not be there.
