Well, he's not entirely wrong. The Switch does appear to have crossover appeal in more ways than one. I'll give 3 examples.
My former boss, who is a die-hard, dedicated, PlayStation gamer, (this guy bought a 4K TV JUST for his PS4 Pro), he was right there in line, right next to me at GameStop, waiting for the clock to strike midnight on March 3rd.

My cousin, who is a die-hard, dedicated, Xbox gamer, has owned all 3 systems, spent all of our trip in Las Vegas trying to find ONE Nintendo Switch. He calls it, "the console of my dreams!"

My older brother, who hasn't been a consistent gamer in YEARS, he hardly ever plays video games anymore. I showed him my Switch, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on it, and he loved it! Now he's trying to save up money so that he can buy one, not just for himself, but for our nephews too.

Of course, only time will tell if that strategy will work, but seeing and hearing stories like mine, his, and GhaudePhaede010's, PLUS the fact that the system is selling out almost everywhere it is stocked, it appears to be working at the moment.
