Every game on both the Xbox one and Ps4 require the game to be installed, even if you buy the disc version. I own the disc version of Witcher 3, and it requires to be installed, plus every update since release. As for Halo 5, 46.2GB was on the disc itself. There was a 9GB day 1 patch. So day 1 the game was a 54.8GB. Since then there has been a steady stream of updates ranging from 2-6 GB each month. It adds up.

I know, and I agree with isntallation, but that was not the problem, the problem was the massive amount of data that I had to DOWNLOAD. I have only 10 Mb connection, and this kind of "update" destroys my gaming time, which I dont have much these days...

Why is this kind of "update" destroying your gaming time? I could understand that argument if downloads in the background weren't possible (big improvement of the 8th gen compared to the 7th gen) and if the XBO were your only system.

For multi-platform owners this is a non-issue... just play something on system B (or C, or D,...) while installing/patching a game on system A.
