Western Third party support will only come if the system has great sales and is somewhat easy to port to without too many unique Nintendo exclusive extras. But releasing a system like that will net Nintendo nothing and what support they do have won't be able to compete head to head with Xbox One and the PS4 in the long run short of a miracle. So I am guessing if the system has great sales, but some unique Nintendo exclusive feature whether it is a hybrid portable-home console system or whatever, Nintendo will at best only get some third party support from Japan and a few indies.
