I don't get that logic. Why should you base the success and quality of one aspect of a game to others to be able to appreciate it? Must a person hate the sweet  taste of an orange to appreciate the sweetness of an apple?

Thats what I think people do with this game. Review it in a bubble. Like there has never been another game before it.
