Ps4 owner, don't really know what I'd do if it happened, I'll be honest I'm slightly annoyed at the whole thing, I bought my ps4 launch day and I've been perfectly happy with it, there's nothing wrong with its performance and it'll be fine for the next 4-5 years. But now Sony (who have been really good with their customers) are sort of shitting on all the 39million owners that are now going to own the lower spec model through none of their choice. Sony should announce a trade back deal in which you trade your own ps4 back and get the "ps4k" for £100-£150.

I don't agree on the ''Sony shitting on all the 40M owners''; a new SKU is a plus, another option for the ones who don't own the console yet, and for the ones who are ready to get their second, more powerful PS4;  also, 3 years is not a very very short time, it's roughly half of the console current generation, and a more powerful PS4 will keep multiplatform games more close to the PC version as visual quality.  The exclusive games ? They will look stellar, but again you will play the same games on the previous model, just less stellar, not a big deal; believe me, most of casual gamers couldn't care less if they have the 1st model, now, and most of casual gamers will buy the new model when it will be cheaper; nothing will change, just a shorter life cycle for every new SKU, 3 years I would say. I like this if you ask me.
