I hate to be the guy to start this debate again, but seriously, I thought the controls in Skyward Sword were amazing. And I don't normally like motion controls |
If just one single time... just once... a person goes to do something and the player on the screen doesn't do it, it's fail imo. With buttons, that never happens. When I hit the jump button, the player jumps 100% of the time, without fail. With motion controlls, even the very best developed games, there's always going to be hitches and moments where what you do on your couch doesn't happen on the screen and you have to do it again. To me, that's unaccetable and that's why I refused to play it. I mean, when Miyamoto struggles to make his own game work in front of millions of people, you know something isn't right. Nintendo should never have used motion controllers for an IP as legendary as Zelda.
