Has some sort of "anti-hype" been created for Destiny?

So game scores aren't objective? I mean if a site rates the game should it take into accout the hype as well or give the game the score it deserves?

What I'm trying to say is that cod games get 90ish metacritic scores year after year but destiny gets 75 even if according to most people who've tried it say that it's better than any cod (I haven't played it so I don't have an opinion). So the critical response as you say is backlash against the hype... I'm not buying it, sorry.

No, you have it backwards.  The backlash against the hype for Destiny is a result of the honest critical reviews of the game, not the other way around.

I for one am glad that we didn't see 90+ scores across the board for this game as we've sometimes seen for massive hyped games of this caliber, because then gaming journalists wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
