I just finished watching it with the kids, Amazon delivered it this morning. The first time I saw it was at a school viewing in kindergarten. I'm still getting used to the English language track after growing up with the Dutch dub.
What a great movie, looks brand new on blu-ray, great job on the restoration. The subtle comic book motion lines are clearly visible now, every still makes a great picture on its own. The animation still amazes me, so many clever tricks and little jokes. I'll forgive them blatantly re-using entire animation sequences during the movie. The sound is very good too for a 1967 mono title.
The alternate ending was pretty interesting. Good thing they left it out, that extra half hour to the movie would have completely changed the balance.
Still one of my favorites, a timeless classic. What's your next animated feature going to be?
