The Xbox One is nothing more than an accessory that requires a cable box to be connected to it and a $60 a year XBL Gold to use the features. Don't know how the PS4 TV service is going to turn out, but if it's an actual service then it already wins.

My TV can already do everything the Xbox One can except me saying what channel I want to go to and recording with DVR. I can save myself $60 a year and do without both of those features. Or, I can hook my cable cord to my PC capture card, watch TV on there, and record it for free.

PC wins so far.

This is incorrect.  The X1 does not require a cablebox because it can run cable apps like the 360 can without the cablebox.  This I believe is where a lot of confusion is coming from.  If your cable provider does not have an app then you can use the HDMI in.  If your cable provider has a supported app then you use the App and ditch the cablebox.

The thing is most cable companies are creating apps to access their content from devices like the 360 and X1 without the box.  I believe people are thinking Sony IPTV will kill cable but I think people are putting the cart before the horse.  Million of users use cable and Satellite services.  Those services are not going anywhere soon and I doubt that Sony can shake up the industry anymore than Netflix or Hulu which is also their competition.
