Giving gamers "what they want" typically results in crappy games that are made to tick the boxes (aka "by-the-numbers") rather than to be engaging. New Super Mario Bros U was a by-the-numbers NSMB Wii clone with higher production value. It was rejected by comparison with NSMB Wii.

Am confused by this statement of yours. NSMBU has 55% attach and has kept the console alive. How is it rejected compared to the Wii version?

OT: I don't know much about Zelda games despite my avatar. Seems like people love Ocarina/LTTP most but each fan has their own favourite. Hard to please them all i guess. Let's see what they try next next when the game launches in 2015.
