I don't see anything wrong with it. Most kids have no problems with playing games like that. They won't start a killing spree or anything like that. It's just important for the parents to look after their kids. they are the ones who know best if their child can play those games or not. I was allowed to play Mortal Kombat when I was 8, but my mother carefully explained to me that it isn't real and even got a little into detail about how games were made. I think that's important, to not just let your kids on their own and don't talk with them. but if you do, there is nothing wrong with some GTA.

Parents who don't gibe a fuck about their kids and are just happy to be on their own while the kids play in front of the TV should care about those age restrictions. It's a whole lot different if the kids are on their own. But then again, if the parents don't care about their kids in the first place, why would they care about age restrictions?

Bottom Line: I don't know these people and how well the kids are raised. But I don't see anything generally wrong with it. It's up to the parents what their kids may or may not play.

First and foremost he's not even old enough to play a teen rated game. When a child is crying because of GTA you know whats up. If I was eleven my parents would throw my GTA out of the window given my upbringing. The press should stay away from the developers because they get attacked for the negligence of parents. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Most of the parents do not even know what is in these games even though they buy them. Some just want to see their kids smile but later regret it once they see the content on the disc. Rockstar has been attacked enough because little kids get their hands on these games and it should come down to the quality of the parent. Sorry, but if a game has violence, nudity, foul language ( andmisogynistic as well) and pretty much you can do anything and everything. I am not saying its going to turn kids into killers, but some things should not be revealed to kids just yet. Even I, myself am glad I started off slow when it came to games and worked my way up as I grew. Again, opinions are opinions, but I feel really bad for the developers because parents will not get blamed for this at all.
