It didn't say.
I could see it not being a big deal if he was just a coffee intern, but sounds like he was coding or doing something important if he should have gotten 100/day.
But you have to really feel you have been wronged to burn an internship and sue the company. Then even bigger to refuse whatever they offered him with the gag order.
And he won the lawsuit.
