Yeah they are making good reparations, but the fact still remains that its mostly impossible to get into the servers. Hopefully that is fixed tomorrow with the new servers and expanded capacity.

Its a great game and a very good Final Fantasy, like we hadnt seen in a while. I just wish they could lower that global cooldown on the weapon skills to make combat a bit faster.

I don't know if you were there on launch day, but logging in wasn't actually that terrible of an issue. The first and second day were fine in terms of logging in (and if you didn't get in, you were placed in a queue that actually worked). The primary issue at launch was that the "duty finder" system that handled all instanced combat was taking way too heavy of a load from all the players. In order to keep gameplay as smooth as possible for players, SE dramatically reduced the limit for amount of people that could log onto a world at the same time.

This "reduced cap" overrides the queue system for worlds. That means that if the cap has been reached, it simply kicks you out instead of letting you enter a queue.

With SE fixing the way the duty finder works (and thereby reducing the load it takes by spreading out the load to multiple servers), they can get rid of the reduced login caps and allow players back in.

TL;DR - The primary issue this entire time was duty finder servers being overstressed. SE is fixing that right now and when servers are back up, more people are going to be allowed online at the same time per server. Problem solved. (Hopefully).
