Are gaming systems. Having a reductionist approach is what is destroying this industry.

Multiconsole owners is the name of the topic. PC's are open formats which arent dedicated to gaming and neither are ios devices.

Semantics. Should we consider PS4/XBox1/WiiU as Consoles, or are they really multimedia/gaming centers? Living room all in one devices?

Gaming devices, but Microsoft is a rather questionable one since they tend to swerve to the PC end of things. PC's aren't created for gaming unless people buy them specially made or build them and even then its still not their primary process via os. They still fulfill more purposes than an console could. Entertainment and games doesnt make a console a PC.
