Is my new laptop good enough for moderate to high level gaming?

It probably is Gddr5 ram so this should work well with demanding games. (Horrible glossy screen though if I remember correctly). If it's ddr3 ram then lower settings will do.

Late reply but yes, it is GDDR5.

Was running vanilla Skyrim on high settings and settled around 35-40fps most of the time. I used Fraps to check it.

 

I am sure there are some tweaks I could use to up the fps on high settings, but I have not looked into it yet.
