I like the guy, he's personable. But that doesn't mean he's getting results, and under him Nintendo has developed several disturbing trademarks

- Basically have alienated themselves from the Western development community whereas once they worked with the likes of Factor 5, Rare, Silicon Knights, DMA Design (now Rockstar), Paradigm, Left Field, etc. Kept Retro on such a tight leash that they haven't been able to work on multiple projects until now and that frustrated much of the original Metroid Prime team that most of them left.

- Squandered most of the momentum the Wii brand had but letting the system rot for basically 2 years.

- Still couldn't launch the 3DS or Wii U properly despite not supporting the Wii for years and basically even coasting on the DS. What exactly were you doing Nintendo?

- Still refuse to invest in making a big-quality core IP themselves. The Wii U should've launched with one. Instead they banked on Black Ops and Assassins Creed ports. Result? The sales numbers speak for themselves. If Sony can invest and stick with a franchise like Uncharted, Nintendo doesn't have an excuse.

- Becoming creativity stifled. Now that the casual bubble has burst, Nintendo is scrambling and overusing Mario to the point of franchise fatigue, which is a huge mistake. Where are the new ideas? Why does every game aimed at a broad audience have to fit into the tired "mini-game" formula?

- Designed the Wii U basically entirely around the tastes of Japan and the system isn't even selling all that great in Japan and doing (proportionately) worse in the West. Completely horrid in Europe.

- I suspect they are also over engineering their hardware with too many proprietary parts, the 3DS and Wii U are hardly performance monsters, yet they cost a lot to manufacture, its unacceptable. A $350 needs to pack more under the hood even with a fairly low quality 6 inch screen on the controller.
