As I wrote in the other thread, I think it's terrible news. I don't trust Abrams at all, even though he gave us Lost.

To paraphrase Dean Yeager from Ghostbusters:
"The purpose of science fiction is to serve mankind. J.J. Abrams seems to regard science fiction as some kind of dodge... or hustle."

I didn't see that thread . But I looked for it in the Movies subforum, not the General one.
