A little late to be realizing this just now. Games cant just be whipped up that quickly.

It's not about realizing it, it's about evidence for it. During its launch WiiU was solid. 80% of Wii is good, and good enough to hit targets. One would assume it was selling exactly as Nintendo expected. If sales are at 30-50% of Wii sales, that is not good enough and not enough to hit targets.
