If by "big world" you're just looking to find a JRPG that has a big world in the story, but not one you necessarily explore, as well meets the other two criteria, Xenosaga fits.

well if you add up all the locations in all 3 games the areas pretty big.

They should have replaced allen with C-3PO though.
