A price-cut is needed regardless of how many games come.

It's quite a sad precedent Nintendo seem to have set for future systems by slashing the price of the 3DS so early.  Now anything that doesn't take off within the first 6+ months needs a price cut and nothing else.  Not games, not bundles, not features, just a price cut, because that's what the 3DS did.  Ugh.

I think it was a smart move by Nintendo. Sell it with a huge profit margin initially, and then as soon as the competitor comes out drasticaly slash the price and steal its thunder. I don't know if this was the plan all along, but if the 3DS was still the same price the Vita would have higher sales and the 3DS would have much lower sales.
