AFAIR the items in the German Oblivion version were only ~50% translated at release*hurrhurr*.

But really Bethesda has improved tons over previous games. Oblivion was really a bug fest and crashed so often during loading screens when you tried to enter a house. Fallout 3 at launch was already far better and in Skyrim you might encounter a bug every 10 hours which is just as rare as in every other game.

Compare that to Obsidian's Fallout New Vegas, where I couldn't finish 5-8 quests due to bugs and had to wait for a patch to solve them.

Haha, poor germans. "Was der fuck ist ein Lettuce?"

I've no idea what you're talking about but I'm sure it was funny.

Yeah it was.

About New Vegas, is it a playable and comfortable experience after the patches? I loved Fallout 3 and now that I am playing Rage I am reminded of how exciting adventures were in the Wasteland.

Yeah I would say with the official updates and the community patch it's a pretty good experience.
If you do have problems with a glitched quest, there are mostly workarounds here that work in 90% of all cases.

The only thing you need to keep an eye out for is that there are multiple endings depending on which faction likes you. It's not possible that you're being admired by all factions at the same time (except for maybe a mod ?) so I stayed mostly neutral or slightly positive/negative towards all factions. That way I could make a save shortly before the last part of the main mission so I could experience all endings without having to replay the whole game (and get those achievements).

Hmm... I was thinking of the console version. I already have the PS3 copy that I haven't installed yet (I have many unplayed PS3 games waiting for me).
