RPS Opinion: Why ‘Indie’ Has Become A Bad Word

Indie is pretentious, a haven for over-inflated egos and introspection with all the depth of a sun-dried puddle.

 

Indie is usually attached to various low quality creations in the media (movies and music mostly) so that pretentious people will like them. It's like the word "hardcore" which is often attached to nerdy stuff.

 

So damn true...
