I'm not exactly hopeful just yet but this has the potential to turn me into a Linux user if true. I don't like Windows and I don't like Steam either but if Steam comes to Linux, it'll be a great day for Linux gaming anyway. I'm not sure if I have any more reasons besides games to be a Windows user even now, and with this, even that reason could be largely gone. (And yes, I know about WINE but don't exactly trust it to do the job properly for my games.)
