I might pick up that Pokemon Conquest game when it comes out.

That article about teens losing interest in traditional gaming really depresses me. While I think social sites like facebook have many + aspects like making it easier to keep in contact with friends and family over long distances. I also think that they have a very negative effect on gaming. I mean if teens today would rather play games over the internet with their close friends, instead of  inviting those friends over and playing games with them in person, then thats pretty sad.

In my personal opinion the term "Social Gaming" in just some stupid phrase that gaming media has used to their advantage just like casual gaming. I mean games have always promoted social interaction with other people. Pong was meant to played with 2 players not 1 and that was one of the first games every created. For example NSMBW is way more social then farmville, with NSMBW in order to play co-op you actually need to physically get 1 to 3 other players together in the same room and on the same tv. Farmville all you need is someone else playing at their home while your playing at your home, Cmon you don't even physically see that person, how is that more socialable than traditional console gaming.

The saddest part is that when these kids grow up, there fondest multiplayer experiences will be them playing COD alone in thier room shouting curse words through there mikes.

Ah, the good old days when I was ALONE in my room shouting obscenities. The good old days. :S
