So basically Nintendo intends to keep developing cheap casual games, maximize profitability, cash millions, never innovate, and let 3rd parties take all the risks on the core gamers' market. Wait! Isn't that exactly what they're doing on Wii and 3DS? How courageous...

No, they just don't throw their money away. As they said, for the games that need high fidelity graphics, they are ready to  dish out the dough in house.
