I'm not surprised by this and I'm sure the number of units were less then 500K, that's for sure. You notice Sony didn't say how many units were SOLDOUT. If you have a limited supply, of course it's going to sell out. The XBox 360 was sold out too when it launched in the U.S. They only had like 800K units though.
Their launch titles don't look too great to me. There are only a couple titles I'd get from that list. It's probably best to just wait a year or so until the bundles start happening. Like the 3DS, we're going to have to wait for better games to come out. I doubt Sony will be lowering that price anytime soon though. lol!! I'm pretty sure it cost well over $350 to make a PSVita. Sony will definitely be taking a loss on this one.
