BF games always had better multiplayer than single player campaigns. COD's campaigns might be short, but at least they are a blast to play and (usually) have a very gripping story that moves the game along well.

Also, alot of reviews said that BF3's campaign doesn't really prepare you for multiplayer that much... the best way to do so is to play the co-op mode or jump right into the multiplayer.
