A lot of people predicted PS3 would close the gap significantly in 2010. Even 360 fans thought it would.
In case people forgot, the gap was about 3.6 million in October of 2010. It jumped back up to 5 4.5 million by the end of the year though.
In my opinion the gap will grow primarily because of the Kinect. The 360 now appeals to both casual and core gamers.
The only thing Sony could possibly do to sell more consoles is another price cut. But they won't do that unless MS cuts prices first.
