It sold 70% of it's shipment. Tecmo probably only shipped out 50-55k copies. So I am pretty sure it sold what Tecmo expected it to sell.
Also GT released on Oct 1st. So 1st week is not 47k, but 108k. 
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
