We don't know SEGA's expectations, so we don't know if they are above/below them.
Personally, I think it sold very well in Japan, and very poorly in NA and Others. However, if it manages to hold onto selling 5-10k/week for quite some time, it will eventually pull decent numbers in NA.
As for sequals, I think there is a good chance for one especially if the DLC that is supposedly going to be released outside of Japan does well.
