You find it hard to believe that 72% of the games audience has played the game online?
That really isn't that hard to believe seeing as how the game automatically connects to the online server when the game is turned on, provided of course that you made a PSN account. So you don't really choose to go online, your always online.
That would be an extremely high number for the game. The last PS3 only PSN numbers had the count at a bit over 50% of PS3 users connecting to the PSN as I recall. LBP is the style of game that would attract the less "core" audience en masse making it difficult to get a disproportionatly high number of PSN users having the game. Hopefully that makes more sense than I think it will.
