I think the reason why the Ps3 has sold so well in Spain is because of marketing and advertising. I was in Madrid a couple of weeks before the launch of the Ps3 and I could see it was advertised and publicised way better than it had been in my own country. On the high-street in one huge shop window of an expensive building I could see a shiny Ps3 sitting on what looked like a black-cloth pedastal or throne which just made the console look god-like and people were taking pictures.

Where's in my country (Ireland) I didn't see a single advertisement for the console, and even unto this day I don't see any adds for playstation 3 games with the Mirror's Edge add showing the Ps3 being the only acception.

And microsoft has been giving me two xbox360 console adds per addbreak on tv along with gears 2 and fable adds quite frequently. So what's the plan sony? Advertising works, Spain proves it, and so does the wii and wii fit.
