Forums - Sales Discussion - Nintendo buys Monolith soft from Bandai-Scamo

from neogaf: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=152789

If I understand it right they did make Baten Kaitos Origins. More than that I don't know.

Here is the Japanese presrelease if somebody can read it

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!

now i don't have a clue  what monolith soft does, but finally they actually spent money on something.

the Wii is an epidemic.

The company itself is made up mainly of the people who worked on Xenogears at Square then left to make Xenosaga as their own company, Monolith Soft. I'm I remeber correctly they also did the enviroments for Baiten Kaitos Origins.

All I can say is :

HELL YA BABY! :D

P.S. If this means that Kos-Mos will be a character in Smash Brothers, I WILL buy it. :D

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

Don't kill me, but who is Kos-Mos?

Kos-Mos is a character from Xenosaga  That's right Xenosaga is made by Monolith Soft and since a port came to the DS in Japan, you never know what will happen. And eh we already expect a WII game of them Disaster: Day of Crysis.

I don't understand it anymore, Monolith Soft seemed to me a coorperate company with TriCrescendo. Namco Bandai indeed released the games, but in the US part of Baten Kaitos (according to my friend) it says under the logo TriCrescendo, while my Japanese version says MLSI (Monolith Soft Inc) as developer. Never thought Monolith Soft was a part of Namco Bandai games.

I'm actually a little worried about D:DoC.  We haven't heard anything about it in almost a year.  Project H.A.M.M.E.R. worries me, too.  I'd hate to see two games that look as promising as those two turn into vaporware.

What's D: DoC? Project Hammer is still scheduled but as developer "Nintendo"

Disaster: Day of Crisis
(D: DOC)

I was being lazy :-p

And what I meant was that *ALL* that we know about these two projects are small blurbs from E3 '06.  They could and should be hyped, but they aren't, which worries me.

Project H.A.M.M.E.R should be made by NOA. So that shouldn't be a problem. (We haven't heard much about Battalion Wars either)
