Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Dancing wii’s troubles away

The question is whether the third parties learn the right lesson from this, that you have to offer a unique, well-refined experience, that doesn't necessarily have to be over-elaborate, or if the birdmen will emerge again and we'll be awash with dance clones by the end of the quarter.

There's only one answer to that question. I don't think anyone doubts it will be the latter.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

So they've learned it takes more than a good game to sell, maybe they'll try marketing their other games now

Or stealth release like CoD Reflex and hope it fails.
Probably the only company to want their own game to fail?

Reflex is Activision, not Ubisoft. But Ubisoft IS NMH2 (as far as publishing in the US) - is NMH2 getting any marketing?

Haha good written article except for where it states at the bottom that Modern Warfare is a core game. I'm sorry just because core gamers buy it doesn't make it a core game. It's just as mainstream as Just Dance is.

Other than that, good article.

I predict truckloads of natal/wand dancing games.

ugh that's too much to read for now.

Did they correlate quality with success? I doubt.

Did they talk about the Carnival games effect? Didn't think so

Yes, I was talking about Activision.

I still want this game. I'm gonna pick it up eventually...
