Forums - Gaming Discussion - Favourite character debut for last decade (2000-2009)

A discussion with local friends brought up the topic of notable videogame characters that have appeared in the last 10 years. A small list was derived, but there's probably heaps that we missed out on. So what is your favourite character's debut between 2000 and 2009.

After much thought, I decided my favourite was Fawful from the Mario & Luigi series. His mix of hilarious attempts of insulting and broken Engrish make me looking forward to hearing his monologues above most villains.

...Amaterasu?

Honestly, I don't know. There were thousands, and I played a lot of great games in the last decade. So I'll just go with the easy answer for now.

Travis Touchdown is just an awesome character. It helps that he's in one of the coolest, stylish and most downright fun game franchises released this generation.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

GLaDOS (Portal)
Thrall (Warcraft III)
Gabranth (FFXII)
Laharl (Disgaea)

and Wander (Shadow of the Colossus)

That's all that immediately comes to mind.

I think mine would be Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes. He's ironic and makes killing people feel more funny than bad, one of the coolest characters I've ever seen.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

My top pick goes to Travis as well.

Honourable mentions:

Kyle Hyde
Ike from Fire Emblem
Henry Hatsworth

It's a three way tie between James Sunderland from SH2, Wander from SotC and the entire cast of Psychonauts.
