Forums - Sony - Sony setting the graphics bar this generation

I could be wrong, but I thought it was a well-known fact that PC graphics >>>>>>>>> PS3 graphics.

Besides, only the most hardcore of obsessed fans will really see much of a difference between PS3 & 360 games, when playing, and frankly, the vast majority of people doesn't care.

On a few exclusives perhaps, but only with over-expensive costs.

If you take third party gamles into account the conclusion is in favour of 360

the only reason third party 360 games are better cause 360 is the lead platform for them.the game is then ported to PS3.

it is alot easier to develop for the 360 than PS3.

Why don't you guys understand these thing?do some research and then come back

I did some research. The only other examples of downgraded ports are from porting graphically superior games from Xbox and Gamecube to the inferior PS2, whereas porting from the PS2 to these more powerful systems universally resulted in improved graphics and performance.

If you make a game splitscreen aren't you halving the resolution of each render?

Yes, but you're still rendering a total of 720p (or there abouts) only with more geometry. Since the system now has to render the same game from 2 entirely different viewpoints.

So then KZ2/UC2 wouldn't take the massive hit you guys are on about. Also I don't care for splitscreen when playing a FPS. It just seems kind of boring to stay at home and play PS3 when I could be outside with my friends.

If the hit for split-screen was minimal those games would have it and therefor there is no-excuse for their sequels not to have it, since both of those franchises have multiplayer modes, there is no reason not to offer local play (since they both offer local system link) .

LOL  this is so funny,  360 real fanboys will NEVER accept that Sony is setting the graphics bar this generation on consoles  hahaha they keep spinin and doin damage control  lol

1) I had things to say.

2) Dunno why, but this topic appeared on my screen as "hot topic" so I clicked it, read it and responded. I didn't realise it was an old thread until after.
