Unfortunately no review about LG LH4000.

Take a look at my photos on flickr

Any Samsungs in you price range with similar specs???? I would reccommend Samsung over LG any day.

I wouldnt settle for anything less than 100hz, so I would forget about the 50hz tvs and focus on either the 100Hz or even the 200Hz if you can find them for a reasonable price

Well I'm still going to school and Samsuns is too expensive for me. I want a 37' TV so LG is actually my only choice.

I heard that there is no big difference between 100Hz and 200Hz since the human eye isn't able to follow so many pictures (??) at once. Why should I forget about 50Hz? Isn't it good enough?

Really?  I am surprised that Samsungs are that expensive there,  since here compared to everyone else they are as cheap and cheaper in some cases for the same spec TV.

As for the 50 Hz TVs,  no they arent good enough.   The 100Hz tvs will produce a smoother looking movies and games, the difference is pretty big IMO.   The difference in 100Hz to 200Hz is not as big of a jump but you can still see it.

You don't want a 100Hz tv for gaming. Motion interpolation reduces motion blur but it also adds input lag, making it undesirable for gaming. So you'd just have it disabled anyway.

If you intend to watch lots of sports on it, get a 100Hz one. If you don't it'd just be a waste of money.

Oh, and motion blur is an LCD issue, plasmas don't suffer from it. In fact a plasma will beat even a 100Hz LCD when it comes to motion handling.

I would say don't get either.
Both are HD-Ready, which means they do not have a built in TV-Tuner and you will not get any local TV without paying for Satellite TV or Cable TV.
Get this model number 37SL8000.
It is a hundred Euros more, but has a better contrast ratio, 200hz which will give you better 3-D when it comes out and has a built in tuner so you can watch over the air TV, when you connect it to an antenna.

Well of course a Plasma will beat an LCD at motion handling but they are not suitable for gaming. The burn in issue that Plasmas still have make them a bigger problem than any small amount of input lag that a 100Hz LCD will have.

According to LGs website it has a built in tuner

May as well wait for 3D TVs...

None of the 120/240 hz LCDs are 3D read and the 2 Samsung plasmas which are 3D ready don't come in 1080p.

If you don't care about 3D and are on a tight budget, then no matter what you choose 50/60hz LCD or 120/240 HZ lcd or Plasma...you will have a TV that is prolly the best TV in your house. Don't let anyone convince you that you need to spend 2000 bucks on a 240 hz TV or you won't get a quality product.
