Hus, troll this forum more often. I've seen many of the threads deal with the vaunted Sony 1st party machine. PS1 Sony game attach rate was just below 1, PS2 it was below 0.7. Sony accounted for just 28% and 15% of game sales over 1 million respectively. So far Resistence has sold to 36% of PS3 owners despite being one of the few big games on the PS3 at its launch. Zelda has sold to 51% of Wii owners despite over twice the user base. As just one example from the PS2 days, God of War is supposedly one of the true gems of Sony's crown. Yet with a 110 million user base it sold only 2.5 million copies. Sony in all liklihood cannot survive on their 1st party games alone. Nintendo has had an attach rate of greater than 3:1 on every system except the DS (still young so it will probably change) and SNES where it was 2:1. Nintendo has shown it can live on 3rd party whether market leader or not, Sony has given no reason thus far to suspect that it can do the same. Again, we are going to find out soon though.

No PS360.... Nintendo hasn't won the fight yet. It's like the World Series or basketball championships, its best 4 out of 7. Nintendo won the first game and has a decent lead in the second but that doesn't mean Nintendo has won the series yet. It does mean that Nintendo is better positioned to win it all and that Nintendo fans have more reason to cheer at the moment. As for Japan's numbers being weekly, convert them to monthly, I thought the PS3's floor was around 120-140,000 and it's trending to 80-90,000 per month.

Uhm... the PS3 "Aussie" was the biggest disappointment, last time I checked. We won't know how the PS3 is doing in europe 'till we see sales info from May? At this point it's a possibility it may drop off like the other 2 markets have. Then again, it may not. We won't know for sure. But Japan's PS3 situation isn't likely to change in the next few months, at the very least. And to compare the Wii to the Dreamcast is absurd, Sega could have only "dreamed" to have the advantages the Wii has gotten this generation, it was never selling out consistently in 3 territories well after chrismas (not even 1), it never had such fantastic publicity, it never had 3rd parties jumping onto the bandwagon in such an insane manner. :) I love my Dreamcast and the 10 games I have for it, but it's comparing apples and oranges, essentially.
